These research projects explored the creative possibilities of thermochromic inks that change color with variations in temperature and conductive inks that carry an electric current.
My colleague Erik Waterkotte and I used the conductive inks to screenprint heat circuits that would trigger color changes in the thermochromic ink layer on top of the circuit. Results were moderately successful. More prototypes and research are needed.
